To assist all of our patients, we offer the following services:
A chiropractic adjustment can make your body feel amazing. Other terminology for chiropractic adjustments are as follows: chiropractic manipulation, manual manipulation, or spinal manipulation. The adjustment refers to the manipulation of the vertebrae that has abnormal movements and are not functioning properly. A chiropractic adjustment has tons of evidence based application for helping to alleviating issues related to decreased motion or unstable joint motion. We try our best to meet you half way at every part of your treatment, our three doctors often use a combination of techniques to get you feeling better, but if you have a specific method that you prefer we can typically talk it through with you to give you the best possible experience.
Adjustments are great at creating mobility in areas that have restricted motion, however, helping to create stability in those areas is also a big part of how your body moves as well as, preventing new issues from arising.
We focus on exercises that will strengthen and correct the irregularities of your body. Physical rehabilitation uses mechanical force, dynamic movement, and active stretching to improve mobility, function, and even quality of life.
Back pain is one of the biggest problems Americans face today and affects eight out of ten people at some point in their lives. Even though back pain is common, the level of severity varies. A variety of different conditions are responsible for discomfort in different regions of your back. These include sprained ligaments, strained muscles, trigger points, arthritis, bulging or herniated discs, inflamed joints, sport injuries, whiplash, and many more. We will locate the source and do everything we can to ease the uncomfortable pain you may be experiencing.
Auto Accidents/ Workplace injuries
All too often we can experience acute or traumatic injury that is no fault of our own. Car accidents and workplace injuries are probably two of the most common unexpected injuries. Chiropractic has large amounts of evidence showing the when combined with massage therapy, the overall rates of improved function and decreased pain level is better in people who have received treatment vs. those who have not. In addition, it is common that after an acute or traumatic force the muscles that are involved work differently as a protective mechanism. Without treatment it is very common that these muscle patterns become your bodies new normal which can lead to new and even chronic pain conditions down the road. If you have questions related to a car accident or workplace injury we are happy to talk you through any of your treatment questions.
These are just some of the services that we provide here at Chiropractic Health Center. We love providing our patients with an enjoyable and pain-free life, so don’t hesitate to stop on by!
Muscle Release/ Massage Therapy
As part of the whole body picture an additional part of getting you better is dealing with the MUSCLES that are participating in your pain or reduced function. Part of our approach is to create more motion at the joint as well as, reducing tension in the muscles through cupping, manual muscle techniques (ART, PNF, or Pin and Stretch), or Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM). If we cannot decrease your tightness within the allotted time we have some amazing massage therapists that can take the muscle release to the next level.
Typically, the massage therapist will spend an hour with you. They are highly efficient at locating areas of increased tension and decreasing the pressure within those most tender areas, and all the other muscles that play into the bigger system. If you are not interested in Chiropractic care, massage therapy can still be an extremely useful tool to either GET you feeling better, or KEEP you at the top of your game.
A lot of time people are surprised to find out that chiropractors can treat acute sprains and strains related to sports injuries. Whether it’s a hamstring strain, ankle sprain, sprained AC joint, or a variety of others. Typically when treating acute related sports injuries, the greatest benefit is reduced healing time. We combine traditional manipulation (if warranted) with myofascial treatment to improve your bodies recovery time. In addition we will give you a couple key exercises that will help you restore the injured area to peak performance and avoid re-injury.
